The largest percentage of damages caused during a furniture removal is due to incorrectly packed or inadequate strength cartons used. As a professional removal company, our furniture removalists and professional packers are not the same guys. They are each specialists within there own industry. We can do both or one or the other for you. If you wish to pack yourself, we can supply sufficient packing materials. Owner packed or PBO (Packed By Owner) is quite acceptable, but we recommend you follow a few simple rules: • Books and other heavy items should only be packed in sturdy cartons, approximately the same size as archive cartons (30cm x 30cm x 45cm) • Tea chest size cartons for the majority of other items. Spread the weight and fill the carton to the top even if crushed paper is used to top up the carton. This will ensure the carton will not collapse.
